Allison Murray
Allison Murray has over 30 years of commercial underwriting and management experience in the Canadian Property/Casualty industry. Her underwriting background includes positions as Director, Commercial Lines for Guardian Insurance Company of Canada; Vice President, Commercial Lines for ING Canada; and Executive Vice President for Enterprise Canada Insurance Services Limited, a former Lloyd's Coverholder. Allison holds the Canadian Insurance Professional designation and is a member of Risk Management Consultants of Ontario.
Jody Meadwell
Jody Meadwell has nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. After working for a number of years as a Claims Adjuster for a national insurer, she moved into increasingly senior roles in the areas of commercial underwriting and management with Guardian Insurance Company of Canada, ING Canada and Enterprise Canada Insurance Services. Jody holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree as well as Fellow Canadian Insurance Professional and Canadian Risk Management designations.
Shelagh Cleary
Shelagh Cleary began her insurance career in 1984 as a personal lines underwriter before quickly moving into commercial lines and underwriting. For a number of years, Shelagh was with St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company where she held increasingly senior positions, including Assistant Vice President, Business Development. Shelagh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree as well as her Fellow Canadian Insurance Professional designation.
Alison de Broux
Alison de Broux has over 30 years of commercial underwriting experience at leading Canadian Property, Casualty and Professional Liability insurers. For the past 15 years, she has held increasingly senior management roles, including Vice President, Professional Indemnity - Errors and Omission Insurance for Canada at ACE INA Insurance. Alison holds her Canadian Insurance Professional and Canadian Risk Management designations.
Roger Fortier
Roger Fortier began his claims career as an independent adjuster in 1964 before moving to the company side as a claims examiner in 1972. He retired from Royal & Sun Alliance in 2003, where he was the national claims Quality Control Manager. During his time at RSA, he established audit standards and conducted many internal audits for the company. Roger holds the Fellow Canadian Insurance Professional designation. |
Neil M. Bishop
Neil M. Bishop has over 30 years of experience in the Canadian Property/Casualty industry. He has held progressively senior front-line, management and executive roles with both national insurers and smaller regional companies. His expertise spans the areas of commercial and personal underwriting, claims, marketing, loss control and training. Neil holds a Bachelor degree from McMaster University and was elected Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Canada in 1996.
Barbara Basta
Barbara Basta has over 30 years of wide ranging experience in Canadian and international insurance markets, with an emphasis on Casualty and specialty Commercial classes. She has held increasingly senior roles across all business lines throughout her career, most recently holding the position of Vice President, Underwriting at Swiss Reinsurance Company of Canada. Barbara holds a Masters in Business Administration from Manchester University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto. She is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Canada and a member of the Insurance Institute of Canada.
Bina T. Dagar
Bina T. Dagar's broad expertise in the North American insurance market spans the areas of Reinsurance, Domestic Property and Multi-Line, International and Home Foreign Property and Casualty, coverage dispute resolution, claims issues and run-off. Her most recent positions include Vice President, Everest Reinsurance Company and President, Ameya Consulting. Bina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Professional Reinsurance Certification from the College of Insurance/St. John's University.
James Walmsley
James Walmsley has been serving the Quebec commercial insurance community for over 30 years working in Property and Casualty fields for both international Insurers and major multi-national Brokerage firms. His varied positions have included Manager of Property Underwriting, Supervisor of Binding Authorities, underwriting liaison with protection consultants, E & O Standards officer and, most recently, expert witness in Property insurance litigation. James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French language and literature from the University of Toronto and the Canadian Risk Management designation.
Stacey Marining
Stacey Marining has over 15 years of experience in the Canadian commercial property and casualty insurance industry. She began her insurance career in 1991 as a Commercial Lines Underwriter with Guardian Insurance before moving into underwriting roles with two Canadian Lloyd's Coverholders. Stacey holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and is an Associate of the Insurance Institute of Canada. |
Elaine Collier
Elaine Collier has over 30 years of broad-based property and casualty experience in the Canadian marketplace. During that time, she has been involved in primary, reinsurance and run-off business from a front line underwriting perspective to various senior management roles. Elaine has an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Victoria College, University of Toronto, and is a graduate of the Kellogg Business School Executive program. She is a Fellow, Chartered Insurance Professional of the Insurance Institute of Canada, a Certified Risk Manager of the Global Risk Management Institute and a member of Risk Management Consultants of Ontario.
Christine Gilsenan
Christine Gilsenan has worked in the insurance industry for 20 years, starting as legal counsel at a Toronto law firm and then joining a major Canadian insurer in 1996. There she gained a broad range of experience taking on senior roles in the fields of training, auditing, communications and technical file handling for the Québec and National Claims Departments. Christine holds a D.E.C. from Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, a Joint Honours B.A. in History and Political Science from McGill University and an LL.B. from the Université de Moncton. She is an accredited member of the Law Society of Upper Canada (L.S.U.C.) and the Chambre de l'assurance de dommages (CHAD).
Janice Poneta
Janice Poneta has over 30 years experience in insurance and reinsurance claims management and internal audit. She began her career as a claims representative at Hartford and Zurich Insurance, before moving to Mercantile and General Reinsurance where she quickly progressed to Claims VP. She held several positions at Aviva Canada, including Manager Claims Audit and Internal Audit Manager. Her audit assignments have taken her across Canada and to the USA, England and Europe. Janice has a Bachelor of Administration degree, and holds the designations of Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional, Certified Risk Manager and Certified Internal Audit. |
